Metapod #011

Metapod overview

Metapod, the Cocoon Pokémon, is a Bug type Pokémon registered at National Pokédex number 11.

It stands 0.7 m tall and weighs 9.9 kg, and it was first introduced in Generation I where it is typically found in Forest habitats.

Even though it is encased in a sturdy shell, the body inside is tender. It can’t withstand a harsh attack. It is waiting for the moment to evolve. At this stage, it can only harden, so it remains motionless to avoid attack. Hardens its shell to protect itself. However, a large impact may cause it to pop out of its shell.

Metapod base stats
